Privacy Policy

1. Your images

When you use server-side tools (for example Resize, Compress, or Convert), files you upload are temporarily stored on our servers only so we can process them and return the result. Uploaded files and derived outputs are deleted automatically within 6 hours — permanently.

When you use browser-only tools (for example Flip, Rotate, Crop in the browser, Image Enlarger, Color Picker, or Meme Generator), processing happens on your device with HTML5 canvas APIs. Those images are not uploaded to our servers.

We do not sell your images, use them to train models, or share them with advertisers.

2. Information we collect

We do not require an account to use the core tools. We do not ask for your name, postal address, or payment details for free processing.

• Technical logs needed to operate the service (such as approximate request timing, error codes, and coarse IP-derived location for abuse prevention).
• First-party usage aggregates used only to operate the site: page path, referring website hostname, language, and a daily visitor count. We do not store the raw IP address for this purpose; a one-way hash that rotates every day is enough to count unique visitors. These totals are kept for up to 90 days.
• Upload and job metadata required to process a file (filename, size, format, and processing options you choose).
• If you choose optional cloud import (Dropbox, Google Drive, or a public image URL), we receive only the file you select or the URL you provide, and only for that request.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies or local storage only where needed to run the site — for example remembering your language preference or keeping a short-lived upload session. Page-view counts are sent to our own servers and do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics. We do not sell personal information.

4. How we use information

• To provide, secure, and improve Fold Image.
• To prevent abuse, spam, and unauthorized access.
• To comply with applicable law when we are legally required to do so.

5. Retention

Uploaded images and processing outputs are automatically deleted within 6 hours. Server logs are retained only as long as reasonably needed for security and reliability, then discarded or anonymized.

6. Third parties

If you connect Dropbox or Google Drive, their privacy policies also apply to data handled by those services. We only request the minimum access needed to import the file you choose.

We may use infrastructure providers (hosting, CDN, storage) as processors acting on our instructions. They are not allowed to use your files for their own purposes.

7. Children

Fold Image is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). Please do not upload personal information about children.

8. Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised policy on this page with an updated date. Continued use of Fold Image after changes means you accept the updated policy.
